My Industry Attachment at the world’s leading HR solutions firm, Adecco Singapore, provided me with an invaluable opportunity to co-develop Singapore Polytechnic Life Skills and Communication’s (SP- LSC) new Personal Branding and Career Agility (PBCA) module. By drawing on to Adecco’s expertise in career coaching and leveraging on their labour market insights, we managed to create this engaging curriculum to equip students with essential personal branding techniques to support their career success.
Developing PBCA was an extremely fulfilling experience as I leveraged my instructional design skills to translate Adecco’s industry and subject matter expertise into impactful learning outcomes and activities for students. While my background in Education and Career Guidance (ECG) counselling allowed me to incorporate relevant frameworks and tools into the curriculum, our partnership with Adecco provides practical insights into employer expectations and the future of work which enriches the module’s content.
On a personal level, my close working partnership with Adecco’s staffs, Ms Joyce Tan and Ms Angela Chen as well as my time in the Industrial Attachment, allowed me to expand my professional network and refine important skills such as collaboration, communication, project management and creative problem-solving. In short, my Industrial Attachment at Adecco Singapore has been invaluable for my professional growth.
The attachment at Adecco Singapore was truly a rewarding learning experience as it allows me to utilize my skills in Education and Career Guidance counselling while developing new capabilities through the development of the PBCA module.
I look forward to maintaining this great partnership with Adecco Singapore.
