Adecco re-appointed as SGUnited Jobs and Skills Placement Partner (SGUJS PP) to provide specialised assistance to local jobseekers
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Workforce Singapore (WSG) have appointed three employment agencies under the SGUnited Jobs and Skills (SGUJS) Placement Partners initiative. Adecco Personnel Pte Ltd (Adecco) has been re-appointed along with two new employment agencies, Charterhouse Pte Ltd and Good Job Creations (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
2 The SGUJS Placement Partners initiative recognises the important intermediary role of employment agencies in the labour market, given their extensive networks and job matching expertise. Amidst the uneven labour market recovery and uncertainty caused by COVID-19, this initiative complements the Government’s existing job matching efforts by providing local jobseekers who are mature, long-term unemployed, or persons with disabilities, with more avenues to secure jobs and attachments.
3 The selection and the re-appointment of the new SGUJS Placement Partners was done through an open tender. The appointed employment agencies have demonstrated the ability to hire fairly and have good track records of placing local workers.
4 Mr Tan Choon Shian, Chief Executive of Workforce Singapore, said: “Our partnership with employment agencies provides local jobseekers, who are mature, long-term unemployed, or persons with disabilities, with additional access to professional career matching services and opportunities to better support their job search journey. Such partnerships complement WSG’s suite of Career Matching Services and NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute career centres by capitalising on the employer networks and recruitment capabilities of employment agencies.”
5 MOM and WSG encourage jobseekers who are mature, long-term unemployed, or persons with disabilities, to sign-up for the SGUJS Placement Partner initiative through the respective SGUJS Placement Partners’ dedicated registration channels. The links to these channels can be found at https://www.go.gov.sg/sgujspp.
